A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Design Engineer (f/m/d) in Additive Manufacturing at Siemens Energy, you will be immersed in the development of sustainable design solutions for large gas turbines. Your day-to-day activities will include working closely with component engineering teams to integrate AM designs that promote decarbonisation and improve the efficiency of our large gas turbines. You will use advanced CAD software to create and optimise 3D models for new turbine components, perform simulations and analysis to ensure your designs meet environmental and performance targets, and lead prototyping efforts while coordinating with production teams to implement your innovative ideas. You will also engage in continuous learning to stay at the forefront of AM technology and sustainability practices.

- Drive the development of gas turbine components that are both high-performing and environmentally friendly
- Play a key role in advancing our additive manufacturing capabilities to reduce the carbon footprint of energy production
- Lead the charge in implementing sustainable materials and innovative designs that set new industry benchmarks
- Influence the future of energy systems by pioneering designs that pave the way for cleaner, more efficient power generation
What You Bring
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, with a focus on additive manufacturing and product development
- Experience in design engineering for large gas turbines, with a portfolio showcasing your contributions to sustainable practices
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably Siemens NX), FEA tools, and a deep understanding of AM processes and materials. Experience in CFD is a plus
- Strong intercultural competencies, with the ability to navigate and bridge diverse working styles and practices
- Exceptional communication and language skills, with proficiency in English to our global operations. German skills are a plus
- A mindset geared towards innovation, teamwork, and the promotion of an inclusive and collaborative work environment
- Strong project management skills and a hands-on approach to find solutions
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and
decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof,
steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
