We’re looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you’ll be reporting to the Head of Commercial and support the relevant Project Manager in managing and optimising targeted financial results with due professional care.

Your profile

  • A project professional that has experience in the commercial aspects and project financials (controlling & reporting) of engineering and construction projects
  • A practitioner in one of these fields: Quantity Surveying / Project Financial Controlling / Contract Management / Commercial Project Management / Business Administration
  • Knowledge and familiarity with contract terms of Engineering and Construction Contracts
  • Experience in project budgeting, financial management of risks/opportunities, claim management and a knowledge of contract law
  • Competent in working collaboratively and cooperatively within project teams

Your responsibilities

  • Co-leading Projects together with the Project Manager, in managing and optimizing targeted financial results, with the objective of executing the project according to the defined Project Management (PM) standards, customer requirements and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG)
  • Ensures the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations, as well as overall project books and records
  • Prepares commercial documentation for regular project status meetings and ensures the accuracy of the commercial project data
  • Initiates invoicing according to project progress and contractual terms
  • Actively manages cost and invoices to optimize project cash flow
  • Ensures compliance with FRG and local GAAP requirements
  • Ensures the application and continuous management of financial guarantees, bonds and project securities
  • Supports the PM in identifying and minimizing non-conformance costs (NCCs)
  • Supports the PM in identifying, evaluating and assessing risks & opportunities
  • Administering subcontracts on a day-to-day basis
  • Manages final account settlements of subcontractors and the supply chain
  • Ensures that timely contractual notifications are made
  • Together with the PM, proactively manages contract administration and claim management for the Projects under their control, both up and down stream
  • Co-leads contracts/claim/change order negotiations with stakeholders
  • Manages customer expectations together with PM
