Siemens Energy’s Industrial Application Solutions business unit is looking for an Engineering Manager for our Saudi Arabia office located in Dammam. Our unit is responsible for providing solutions for Automation, Controls, Electrification and Digitalization to the Oil & Gas and Petro-Chemical industries as well as a renowned supplier of Water Treatment plants and solutions.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all engineering processes in our facility in Dammam; KSA.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Automation or Controls Engineering, or a related polytechnical field of study, preferred with proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Typically, 10+ years of successful experience including experience in management of automation, controls, software, systems engineering and preferably digitalization.
  • Hands on practical experience with Siemens Energy automations systems, PLC systems, PCS7, WinCC, etc.
  • Knowledge of Industrial codes and standards – DIN/ ASME / API / ANSI / NEMA / NPFA / ATEX etc.
  • Expertise in the field of operational concepts, I&C systems, DCS / SCADA specifications
  • Proven track record of managing and controlling engineering teams and technicians.
  • Ownership attitude when interfacing and coordinating with other business functions such as Sales, Customer Services, Finance, etc.
  • Strong critical thinking, oral and written communication skills
  • Intercultural sensitivity and willingness to travel
  • Courage, Honesty, Commitment, Respect, and Openness will be needed in this role
  • Strong communication skills with interculture experience in a globe organization

Your Responsibilities

  • Performance management, coaching and development, department cost center budget controls, establishing best practices / processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Financials:

  • Generates estimates of personnel loading for department.
  • Maintains and provide regular forecasts of internal and external resources utilization.
  • Ensure NCC’s remain below the maximum level defined by business unit

Innovation:

  • Consistently identifies opportunities for improvement, both organizationally and technically.
  • Effectively champions and enacts others' innovations where beneficial to the company.
  • Manages, motivates, and develops Employees and Contractors in Controls Engineering field
  • Implements guidelines and drive the development of technical standards and procedures
  • Plans and allocates resources and budgets to Bids, Customer Order Engineering, Standardization, Cost Out, and other projects
  • Assist Operation Center Head and other technical units (e.g. Front End Engineering and Bid Management) in assessing the workforce’s competencies, and designs and plans learning programs and cross-training in Controls-related topics
  • Supports Non-Conformance investigations, Root Cause Analyses and Corrective & Preventive Actions
  • Supports the development of engineering methodologies and standards and help implement COMOS for project engineering
