Impact financial performance of Siemens Energy through development of a new turbomachine which will decarbonize the olefins industry

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance of the rig/product with its specifications
  • Manage the flow-down of top-level product requirements to sub-systems
  • Responsible for defining a structured verification strategy
  • Manage and maintain R&D risk registers, organize risk reviews, escalate risks, manage risk closure/treatment/mitigation with risk owners
  • Manage and maintain verification vs. requirements and raise risks vs. verification strategy
  • Develop and maintain interface control documents
  • Ensure Facility is fit for purpose to meet testing and verification requirements
  • Understand turbomachine and rig build needs in line with risk profile and verification requirements and raise instructions (build, rework, instrumentation, etc.)
  • Ensure instrumentation requirements are understood and in line with verification strategy
  • Oversee overall experimental hardware and instrumentation requirements and liaise with instrumentation design/outsource, ensure milestones are met
  • Liaise or author the test requirements with specialists to ensure testing is in line with approved verification strategy
  • Support turbomachinery testing and data analysis, identify discrepancy with the specifications, and coordinate with the design team to resolve potential discrepancies
  • Produce final verification reports to substantiate the level of compliance vs. original requirements, capture lessons learned and identify further verification action where required

What You Bring

  • Candidate must have B.S. degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years experience system engineering, validation and verification for gas turbines or similar complex energy conversion systems. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Experience with coordinating activities between engineering disciplines to manage risks and assuring that instrumentation and testing is aligned with verification strategy
  • Experience with design, integration, and management of complex systems over their life cycles
  • Experience with turbomachinery testing, instrumentation and test data analysis
  • Experience in Project Management / Team Leadership is a plus
  • Experience with mechanical and/or instrumentation design is a plus
