What You Can Expect

Over the course of two years, you’ll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams, and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.

From day one, you will work on challenging projects with three individually-designed assignments, including one eight-month assignment abroad (Covid permitting). 

You will be assigned a mentor and will shadow a role or position to support you in reaching your individual career goals and network with peers and business leaders. You’ll also have access to the resources to help you grow.

What You Bring
  • Significant practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment is required. 
  • A master's degree, doctoral degree, or equivalent in Physical-, Mechanical-Engineering or Quality Engineering or similar studies.
  • Practical experience in fields like incoming inspection, quality control, supplier process quality control of industrial products.
  • Advanced knowledge in quality measurement snd testing methods, calibration of measurement devices and uncertainly of results.
  • Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working is required.
  • Excellent German and English (Chinese will be optional) acumen to work in a multi-cultural environment and be flexible and mobile during the program.
  • Capabilities to think on a holistic way and to impact in a global environment.
  • Disposition for global travels to support on site local factories and suppliers.
  • Knowledge SAP, Microsoft Office, Tableau/Qlik (will be helpful), Q-Module (SAP) or other quality data systems.
Your Tasks
  • Elaboration of requirements for quality of products to be assembled in factories for high-voltage switching products.
  • Inventory of the applied measurement methods and equipment at our locations and suppliers.
  • Definition and standardiuation of measurement methology including measurement equipment (where relevant) to ensure comparability of results in the incoming inspection in factories and suppliers, in collaboration with R&D, Quality Control and Governance, SQM.
  • Pilot implementation of concept for comparability of test results and successful implementation of concept in at least two locations.
  • Elaborate a roll-out plan for complete implementation in all factories.
  • Gain experience and deep insight into processes for factories sourcing and delivering products on the global market.
  • Build-up an efficient cross functional and global network.
