Your Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or above education background in engineering, Electrical engineering or Power engineering is preferred.

5+ years of experience working in development of new products and/or technical project management, experience in technical and cost optimization is preferred.

Experience in gas turbine Electrical system and/or Mechanical System and/or Fluid System is preferred.

Experience in system Design to Cost(DtC) is preferred.

Strong communication skills and teamwork skills, collaboration in cross-functional project teams, demonstrated experience working in a global team.

VA/VE experience in different industries is a plus.

Experience in technical and cost optimization for new developments is a plus.

Basic understanding of traditional energy production and systems.

Experience in renewable energy generation or decarbonization technology is a plus. 

Business proficiency in English required


Your Responsibilities: 

Ensure best cost and value position for an assigned system/ module through application of Cost and Value Engineering levers and methods under the consideration of market price and functional requirements. 

Generate transparency and benchmark in system cost and value drivers through application of CVE levers such as Target Costing and Target Pricing (TCP), Cost Analysis and Optimization (CAO), Supply Chain Productivity Improvement (SPI) and Design to Value (DtV) along product entire lifecycle.

Maintain knowledge about systems architecture and costing in specific area as major value proposition in cross-functional collaboration. 

Provide bottom-up indication of cost targets for new products / systems based on cost models per function and aggregated costs per component, cost split from system to component level, feasibility of material cost targets. 

Support Design to Value in terms of cost trade-offs between modules and parametric optimization. 

Calculate cost baselines and aggregations of system costs according to design maturity. Prioritize cost and value challenges per system function acc. to target. 

Propose design improvements and changes in system architecture to R&D / engineering and evaluate the related cost impact of technical options. Advice engineering the most cost-effective solution based on standardized design processes. 

Calculate system costs according to planned supply chain setup. Involve component CVEs (Commodity Engineers) for relevant components and technologies. 

Organize/lead CVE sprints/workshops for cost out in alignment with cross functions/ cross BUs.
