In this role you’ll be required to Lead a team to deliver the Primary Layout design adhering to the process and the Business strategy

Your profile
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in 3D layout of AC substation design, specifically in Revit.
• You have previously been a lead layout engineer having delivered substation Primary layout design preferably in the renewables industry.
• Experience in Renewables energy HVAC substation is essential.
• Knowledge of layout design of SVC building is preferred.
• Knowledge of co-ordination with civil design model is essential.
• Well conversant with National Grid’s substation design practice
• Fully conversant with the latest Transmission and Distribution standards & technologies.
• Fully conversant with Health & Safety standards (including CDM regulations) applicable to the design of High Voltage substations.
• Good standard of IT literacy – especially Word and Excel
• Good written communication and interpersonal skills
What are my responsibilities?
• To deliver a high-quality primary 3D layout design of AC substations in line with the agreed delivery timescales and budget in line with the process.
• Responsible for co-ordination with the client, civil, other interfaces for delivering the layout design
• Monitoring of the engineering delivery progress as per the engineering programme of the project, escalating issues as and when required to the Line Manager.
• Abide by all business compliance requirements in line with Company policies, for example Business Conduct Guidelines & Confidential Information.
• Takes ownership and accountability for area of responsibility. Makes a positive contribution to the team. Sets own goals and clarifies expectations with the team leader. Invests time to help and facilitate the work of others as and when required. Responds to the ideas, concerns and needs of the team. Demonstrates interest in professional development to maximize own potential.
