In this exciting team the financial analyst bears full responsibility for completion of forecasting, month end, budgeting, and reporting tasks for the business.  We are a fast-paced team where opportunities for growth through special projects and employee programs are readily available for those who want rise to the challenge.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Lead monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting processes.

Drive the month end and quarter end close activities, including journal entry preparation, financial reporting, variance analysis, etc. 

Prepares detailed financial comments for management on numerous KPIs on a monthly basis 

Liaise with corporate functions and business unit finance team members to find answers and resolve errors or inconsistencies.

Perform monthly and quarterly financial controls such as balance sheet reviews, orders on hand reporting, travel analysis, productivity analysis, guarantee monitoring, etc.

Support the internal Siemens Energy Canada audit and external audit with Ernst & Young.

Develop and prepare monthly or ad-hoc presentations and reporting packages for Executive Management. 

Design and implement process improvements including digitalization.

Other tasks as necessary.

What You Bring  

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 

Professional accreditation as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) completed or in progress is preferred 

3-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above

Experience managing large amounts of dynamic data and creating meaningful reports

Demonstrate a good grasp of knowledge and principles of accounting and apply through successful completion of assignments

Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of accounting 

SAP knowledge and experience required 

Strong skills in MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, and Alteryx
