A Snapshot of Your Day
As Senior Communications Specialist supporting the Digital Grid business, you will be a strategic advisor to the leadership team— translating business priorities into impactful communication strategies that advance our Siemens Energy Grid Technologies positioning and our impact on the energy transition and energy resilience.
You will play a central role in shaping how Digital Grid tells its story — internally and externally — highlighting how our digital solutions enable a more resilient, intelligent, and sustainable power grid. Through compelling storytelling, leadership visibility, and employee engagement, you will help build pride, understanding, and momentum across the business.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Position Digital Grid business as a key driver of digitalization and grid modernization.
- Identify and develop storylines and messaging for the Digital Grid business for both internal and external communications.
- Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute communication strategies that support business objectives.
- Create communication plans and execute activities across external channels (trade shows, social media, websites, targeted and paid campaigns, corporate campaigns) and position business leadership and key experts in targeted opportunities (media and speaker placements, social media campaigns) to support thought leadership in energy transition and grid technology.
- Drive and coordinate internal campaigns and formats for the business unit to inspire pride and a growth mindset with employees.
- Measure and report on communication effectiveness using data-driven insights.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- 8+ years experience in corporate communications, preferably in a matrixed or global organization with experience in energy, grid technology or related industries.
- Proven track record as a communications advisor to senior leaders.
- Strong strategic thinking, storytelling, and writing skills with a flair for translating technical topics into compelling narratives.
- Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
