A Snapshot of Your Day

Sr. Buyer role requires to play a critical role in sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services crucial for the successful execution of high voltage substation projects. The Role’s expertise will supply to optimizing procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high-quality standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service capabilities. Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers to further collaboration and innovation.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms, while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Purchase Order Management: Coordinate with the PO creation team to Build, amend, and manage purchase orders in accordance with project timelines and requirements. Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of orders.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging suppliers. Apply this information to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Multi-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other collaborators to understand project needs and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and budgets.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, with minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the high voltage or electrical engineering sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to high voltage substations is a plus.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
  • Experience with contract management and legal aspects of procurement. Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
