Senior Assembly Technician / Assembly Technician (Digitron Front End Cell)

A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for a Senior Assembly Technician / Assembly Technician (Digitron Front End Cell) to maximise production OTD >95% to the highest quality standards <10,000PPM’s in order to achieve the budgeted annual output whilst ensuring Health and Safety accountability. To achieve this, the Assembly Technician performs a sequence of predefined, specialized and different electronic assembly operations, which includes specialized testing and problem analysis, in cooperation with a team of differently qualified assembly technicians.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  
  • Assembly connector inserts in a cleanroom.
  • Build and Test of connectors in automated hydro vessels.
  • Ensure the highest level of Health and Safety is observed and followed in every aspect within the production environment and every task performed.
  • Zero Harm; Understand the 6 Elements and ensure the safety basics are in place for all activities.
  • STOP; If you believe a process is unsafe STOP the activity complete a stop card and report it.
  • Assemble; build Digitron and MCE Insert Assemblies within the Clean Room in accordance with build procedures.
  • Assemble and test Digitron Front End Assemblies; Dummy Connectors; MCE Connectors and EFL Assemblies in accordance with Data Sheets, build procedures, test procedures and quality plans.
  • Complete all build records and test sheets to the highest quality.
  • Contributes to planning and effective resource allocation in the production group (electronic assembly).
  • Plans own work steps in cooperation with other team members.
  • Performs a set of qualified assembly operations, which may include various connector types and sub-assemblies. Strictly in accordance with test Assembly and Test procedures
  • Constantly monitors availability of parts, tools and machines needed to complete product in the relevant subsequent steps of the overall assembly process.
  • Uses specific equipment and/or a range of specialized tools and machines, and maintains functionality.
  • Contributes to plan, execute and analyze the results of test routines and procedures, often in a complex test environment 
  • Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations.
  • Business Improvements, review your daily tasks, look for Quality and Production improvements, complete the Idea Evaluation Form and move your ideas forward.
  • Report defective components to the Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Maintain good housekeeping techniques and practices.
  • Capable of working in a fast repetitive production environment. 
  • To undertake any ad- hoc tasks or duties as requested by the Cell Manager
