Your profile

As the Sales Manager, you will drive and coordinate all client activity during the various project development phases of an opportunity through order entry and deliver the successful sales campaigns for Siemens Energy portfolio in Oil and Gas and LNG market segments.

In this role, you will be expected to liaise with the customers, EPCs and process licensors for early business development, manage the respective relationships and develop and implement the project sales strategies to secure orders for Siemens Energy products and services. You will identify the client project evaluators, influencers and decision-makers in customer organization and drive the Siemens Energy value at each stage of acquisition cycle.


  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required with minimum 8 years of experience in Energy industry and at least 3 years in sales/business development role. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Turbo-machinery experience required; Strong technical understanding of the centrifugal compressors is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and interact with all levels within customer organization; Strong analytical and strategic thinker with a focus on technical differentiation and value selling
  • Proficient in communication, both written and spoken, able to discuss technical and commercial aspects; Strong presentations skills, both written and oral at all levels 
  • Willingness to travel as required

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver successful sales campaigns in the Oil & Gas and LNG market segments
  • Identify and maintain the opportunity list in Salesforce in a punctual and accurate manner
  • Develop the sales capture plan and transactional strategy for each identified opportunity incorporating the customer needs, equipment application, aftermarket and LTP strategy, Siemens Energy strengths, competitor’s weaknesses and a robust market level pricing recommendation based on the assessment of competitive position.
  • Understand the evaluation and decision-making process of customers / EPCs and develop a strategy to position Siemens Energy solutions.
  • Support customers in the development of technical specifications around the baseline design and strengths of Siemens Energy product range.
  • Provide direction to the “firm proposals” group for developing a firm proposal in line with the project sales strategy and lead the technical and commercial negotiations with the customer until contract closure.
  • Manage the organizational risk through the entire sales development process both in terms of customer contractual obligations as well as providing robust internal sales forecasting.
  • Achieve and maintain superior responsiveness to customers with quality information to strengthen Siemens Energy position
