A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Client Manager, you will drive and coordinate all client activity during the project development phases of an opportunity through to order entry including post PO activities as a client facing representative and deliver the successful sales campaigns and customized service for Steam turbine & Generator portfolio in Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Incinerator, Industrial and Power Generation market segments. We are looking for an experienced Sales Professional who will actively manage a designated account base creating business opportunities and drive customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will be expected to liaise with the customers teams for early business development, manage the respective relationships, develop and implement the project sales strategies to secure orders for Siemens Energy products, solutions and services. You will identify the project evaluators, influencers and decision-makers in customer’s organization and drive the Siemens Energy value at each stage of the acquisition cycle.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and grow our sustainable service products portfolio, preparing solutions to meet customer needs.
- Gather and share relevant knowledge (customer buying behavior, industry, market, competitor and portfolio information) to drive business development.
- Proactively and systematically prospect the market aiming to generate new leads and opportunities.
- Represent Siemens Energy in pre-contract dealings with customers including negotiations.
- Perform forecasting, reporting and win-loss analysis.
- Deliver on agreed annual sales targets for the Steam Turbine & Generators business of Siemens Energy for the designated country / customer base.
- Plan, organize and participate in conferences and trade shows.
- Lead and deliver successful sales campaigns in Oil & Gas, Industrial and Power Generation market segments.
- Identify, create and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline in Salesforce to support overall business sales target
- Manage customer’s outage forecast in Salesforce in a punctual and accurate manner.
- Develop the sales capture plan and strategy around each found opportunity incorporating the customer needs, equipment application, Siemens Energy strengths, competitor’s weaknesses and a robust market level pricing recommendation based on the assessment of competitive position.
- Understand the evaluation and decision-making process of customers and develop a strategy to position Siemens Energy ahead of the competition.
- Provide direction to the tendering group for developing proposals in line with the project sales strategy and lead the technical and commercial negotiations with the customer until contract award.
- Manage the organizational risk throughout the sales development process
- Achieve and maintain superior responsiveness to customers with quality information to strengthen Siemens Energy position.
- Identify objectives, strategies, and sales plans to improve short and long-term order intake.
- Develop, maintain and foster the relationship with customers, perform needs-based analysis, and align Siemens Energy growth strategy with customer business needs, fulfilling their requirements.
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required with a minimum 5 years of experience in Energy industry and at least 3 years in sales/business development role.
- Turbo-machinery experience/knowledge is mandatory, strong technical understanding of the steam turbines & generators is preferred.
- Business English speaking and writing skills are necessary.
- Ability to work independently and interact with all levels within customer organization, strong analytical and strategic problem solver with a focus on technical differentiation and value selling
- Proficient in communication, both written and spoken, be able to discuss technical and commercial aspects;
- Strong presentations skills, both written and oral at all levels.
- Willingness to travel as required.
