A Snapshot of Your Day

To perform complex and technically demanding work on-site in a specialized area of Field Service for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines or Generators. Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is more difficult and complex. Refers only complex, unusual problems to others.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Performs complex, specialized tasks on turbine and/or generator equipment during new installation, overhaul, repair or modification projects in accordance with Siemens work procedures.
  • Completes documents of all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures.
  • Performs complex service calls and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality service and
  • feedback on problem evaluation and resolution.
  • Performs assessment of equipment condition and applies repair or improvement measures based on
  • standard catalogue of corrective measures.
  • Participates in responding to semi-complex service calls.
  • Perform hands-on work on rotating machine core engine assembly/disassembly and auxiliary maintenance work.
  • Assist in handling spare parts, service tools, installation tools, consumables, and documentation in the project scope.

What You Bring

  • At least 5+ years’ experience in Field Service, thereof 1 to 2 years maintenance on different type of rotating equipment (e.g., Gas/Steam Turbines, Generators, etc.) is preferred.
  • Familiar with the installation sequence of gas/steam turbine and auxiliary systems is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of project drawings and installation requirements,
  • Over 2 years’ experience in leading small work groups (up to 5 people) is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of English (written). Experience in multicultural teams required.
  • Availability to travel on short-notice and frequently.
  • Self-motivated with strong customer focus.
  • Follow established safe work methods and ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with valid EHS regulations.
  • Good communication skill, open personality, and teamwork spirit

About the Team

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for Field Service Engineer / Technician to join our team. Working on site and at various operational locations throughout Argentina, Latin America, and the entire world, the successful candidate will take a lead role in scheduled and breakdown maintenance of both OEM and non-OEM Gas Turbine fleets. You will have the opportunity to work within one of the fastest growing areas of the Siemens Energy business. You will be required to carry out all day-to-day field service, maintenance and/or installation activities with minimal direction ensuring compliance with customer satisfaction, quality and safety standards while leading by example.
