A Snapshot of Your Day
The Resource Planner will be responsible for determining timescales & identifying tool kits / skills, for each outage within Service & New Unit Business, for the delivery of Field Staff to site meeting the demands of the Small Gas Turbine global fleet and Homemarket also ensuring all visa, travel and delegation processes are met. Ensuring brief/debriefing activity for FSRs are also completed. Expectation is that the RP will consider planning requirements up to a 6 month horizon.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Responsible for the provision of global resource planning and schedules using Primavera.
  • Ensure a co-ordinated approach with Market Support and New Units to establish customer requirements and assess the requirement for site attendance and/or co-ordinate people, tooling and information as required.
  • Use SAP, Primavera and Workflow Tool as the primary tools for internal communications to ensure traceability and auditability on outages.
  • Highlight any planning conflicts - resolve at a local level where possible helping more junior team members where necessary and then timely escalation to minimise customer issues.
  • Responsibility for the reduction of Subcontractor usage/spend.
  • Periodically review plans versus actual with market support / new units to identify areas of non-conformance cost and identify ways in which this could be avoided/improved.
  • Support Field Service in applying a continual improvement philosophy within the business including a strong focus on the management and development of departmental/business processes.
  • To ensure all of the Siemens processes and compliance requirements are implemented and strictly adhered to.
  • Ability to solve I&C project and general outage problems related to Field Service & Tooling allocation & planning
  • Maintain data to support daily / weekly / monthly forecast requirement reports for resources and outage planning where requested.
  • Support general Field Service project requirements and change implementation
  • Request and progress delegations through Global Mobility Services (GMS) to ensure relevant BTAT / DAMEX checks are completed and delegation paperwork is issued to the Field Technicians / Engineers prior to mobilisation
What You Bring
  • Knowledge and experience of planning/scheduling in a Field Service or equivalent environment,
  • Ideally knowledge of product range and outage workscopes
  • Knowledge and understanding of FSE skill requirements.
  • Requirements for travel, visa and international delegation processes.
  • Primavera Project Planning Tool & Webtools/ SAP / Microsoft Project / etc
  • Understanding of planning processes and Field Service activities, basic understanding Siemens Energy SGT packages and driven units and associated equipment
  • Problem solving and creative thinking with quality and efficiency being the main focus.
  • People management (internal Customers, Suppliers, Managers, Colleagues).  Communication (verbal & written).  Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
  • Awareness of different cultures and customs.
