A Snapshot of Your Day

The Quality Engineer manages quality initiatives by developing and maintaining measurement systems to monitor product and process capability to assure overall product quality and drive continuous improvement activity to achieve world class customer satisfaction and productivity.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead/support continuous improvement projects to drive performance to world class levels.
  • Utilize problem solving techniques Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), 5 why’s, 8D’s, Cause and Effect Diagrams, etc.) to determine process improvement actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coach and mentor operators, technicians, supervisors, and others in sustaining best practices in quality control.
  • Coordinate research and resolution of non-conformances and other issues.
  • Quarantine and oversee disposition of non-compliant material and devise methods to assess cost and responsibility.



What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering fields or related engineering discipline preferred, high school diploma/GED and equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience is required. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level.
  • Experience implementing statistical process control on critical product and process attributes. Familiarity with performing Root Cause and Corrective Action to determine process improvement actions to prevent reoccurrence. Experience coaching and mentoring operators, technicians, supervisors, and others to sustain best practices in quality control. Should have a strong background and experience in using statistical tools, Gage R&R, etc. and be able to implement statistical process control on critical product and process attributes.
  • Working in a complex organization supporting all new part development and manufacturing is preferred.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
