A Snapshot of Your Day

An opportunity to increase your Project Management experience by participating in complex, turn-key energy transmission projects throughout the entire lifecycle of the project for major utilities and industrial customers across the country, with a project team in Canada and in collaboration with, as well as support from, the development team in Germany.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead Project Execution - Manage the project team and be responsible for the technical execution of projects to meet customer, cost, quality, schedule and safety requirements and to ensure the successful completion for Siemens Energy and our customers.
  • Develop project plan documents for scope of work, and work with the engineering and commercial team to develop project budget and schedule.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to management and the client including issuing internal and external reports.
  • Identify and analyze project risks as well as actively propose mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
  • Assign tasks to project team members including document controllers, engineering team, procurement, site management, commercial, EH&S, quality etc.
  • Actively manage the claim and change process including preparing, submitting, negotiating, and settling changes to the contract with respect to the client and/or suppliers.
  • Plan and coordinate work among multiple subcontractors, ensuring quality, cost and scheduling requirements are respected.
  • Manage interfaces with multiple internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, Siemens Energy, suppliers, and site contractors.
  • Lead Bid management – Manage the bid team and be responsible for the preparation of all bid documentation for new transmission projects including resource planning, cost compilation, exceptions, schedules, etc.

What You Bring 

  • Fully bilingual in French and English
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of complex Project Management experience
  • PMP, IPMA or similar designation
  • Experience managing High Voltage Substation, FACTs or HVDC is an asset
  • Knowledge of Hydro Quebec standards and practices would be desirable
