A Snapshot of Your Day

Manage projects as a business, with accountability for the management of the scope, schedule, budget, and risk of assigned projects for the supply of compressors or compressor parts for the Oil and Gas Industry to ensure successful project execution with predictable outcomes from order entry through the warranty period.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Participate in the order capture process by supporting regional selling teams as requested.
  • Manage the order entry / order transition process for assigned projects. Review order-entry package and facilitate the receipt of all required information. Drive adherence to the Order Entry Process.
  • Initiate the project through required formalities and internal / external kickoff meetings.
  • Take full ownership of scope, budget, and schedule for assigned projects in the pre-order phase, and manage those constraints after order award.
  • Fully understand the provisions of the contract for the project, regularly apprising functional representatives of salient provisions, and ensuring organizational compliance with all requirements. Develop project plans as necessary to successfully execute the project.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and management to develop relationships that are conducive to the successful completion of the project.
  • Monitor and effectively report progress and status of the project to management and to the client in accordance with the project plan.
  • Ensure the goods and services meet all specifications and are produced in compliance with the Siemens-Energy quality assurance program and the project quality plan.
  • Ensure that all Siemens-Energy products are delivered in accordance with the project plan.
  • Adheres to the guidelines of PM@Siemens and deploys all (or specific) methods to optimally achieve the project goals (e.g., planning controlling, reporting, claim management, risk management, management of internal and external stakeholders), ensuring the proper execution of Siemens Energy contracted O&M deliverables. Manages project to be conducted in time, quality and cost, adhering to Siemens Energy Business Conduct Guidelines.

  

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or similar is required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of Manufacturing, Turbomachinery, Oil and Gas or related experience is required. 3 years of experience with project management duties. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level. (07 S40).
  • Project Management certification is preferred.
  • Fluent speaking and writing in English including technical and contractual forms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (Domestic or International)
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a portfolio of projects that includes those with complexity, high dollar value, and/or risk, including dealing effectively with clients.
  • Knowledgeable of the Siemens-Energy organization (who’s who), Siemens-Energy internal policies, procedures, business systems, and tools as they relate to projects, and Siemens-Energy manufacturing processes, including key suppliers and subcontractors is a plus.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with Siemens-Energy stakeholders and the client and demonstrate a working knowledge of Siemens-Energy products, applications, and applicable industry standards.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
  • As a federal contractor, Siemens Energy continues to monitor federal and state legal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.   Siemens Energy is pausing its mandatory vaccine policy while the issue is addressed by the courts.
