Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Engineer for our Transmission Products business, based out of Dublin. In this role you will be responsible for managing the delivery of our innovative products such as high voltage transformers, circuit breakers and other substation products.

Your profile

•        A flexible mindset to manage a variety of products with a wide range of complexities.
•        Formal qualifications to a minimum of HND/HNC level in Electrical Engineering, with Degree level more desirable.
•        Experience in a Project Engineering/contract management function ideally within the Transmission & Distribution Industry is desirable.
•        Fully conversant with Transmission & Distribution standards & technologies.
•        Awareness of Commercial / Contractual issues
•        Knowledge of CDM Regulations / Current H&S legislation & Risk Management processes
•        IT Literacy (MS Office including MS Project etc)
•        Good communication & interpersonal skills.


Your responsibilities

•        Ensuring the delivery of a wide range of transmission products including Power & Distribution Transformers, AIS Circuit Breakers, Surge Arrestors, Bushings, Instrument Transformers etc on time, to quality and within budget ensuring the Company revenue and profit expectations are maximised.
•        Work closely with a diverse and global team of personnel across business units including various factories and across functions to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
•        Responsible for the management of local subcontractors and overseas factories from Order through delivery up to handover in accordance with the client schedule and quality requirements and always ensuring strict adherence to client & Siemens Energy EHS requirements.
•        Responsible for managing and providing technical information for factory and product assessments and certifications for customers where necessary.
•        Responsible for working with finance/ commercial team on a regular basis to ensure accurate reporting of financial/ commercial metrics.
•        Maintain customer relationships to achieve long-term customer retention, satisfaction and growth potential.
•        Identifying customer requirements beyond the agreed project scope to increase the business benefit from the project.
•        Ensuring all potential opportunities, variations and risks are identified and reported to the Business as soon as possible.
•        Use and make available to others knowledge assets to optimise the proposed solution and project costs.
