How You’ll Make an Impact

• Supervising and leading multiple teams of skilled employees to carry out bespoke project-based production activities associated with the Assembly, Packaging & Testing of Gas Turbines and Compressor for Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industries.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional matrix organization to execute specific production objectives – especially focused on achieving the required highest Quality standards - on time, every time.
• Support people evaluation, training and development.
• Cultivate and promote a culture of teamwork, excellence and inclusiveness.
• Lead and implement good working practices to ensure correct build of Gas Turbines and Compressor packages according to project drawings, instructions and quality controls procedures.
• Ensure correct use of appropriate tools and fixtures for routine and innovative production activities.
• Ensure control and efficient deployment of resources on the shop floor between multiple projects – for employees and contractors.
• Report production issues and work with project teams to address and problem solve them in an efficient and timely manner.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Hands on support of Production Teams.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and planning teams.
• Implement single and double shift models.
• Ensure accurate time keeping and production hours reports.
• Report production KPIs to ensure transparent understanding of all activities
• Support continuous innovation and improvement activities.

What you Bring

• Bachelor’s degree (or equal experience) in an applicable engineering field (mechanical, electrical or related) from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Production or Manufacturing supervision role in a related electro-mechanical assembly industry
• Minimum 5 years demonstrable and deep knowledge of Assembly & Packaging activities for Rotating Equipment, preferably with recent hands-on experience.
  • Pipework and structural welding & manufacture.
  • Electrical cable, tray and conduit system assembly
  • Tubing and Instrument systems assembly
  • Assembly, alignment and cleanliness of critical components.
  • Painting systems
• Field Service experience maintaining Gas Turbine or Compressor packages is an advantage
• Knowledge and comprehension of applicable international standards & industry standards.
• Proficiency in MS office, ERP system, CAD software
• Fluency in English, with Arabic strongly favored.
• Strong people leader
• Excellent communicator – verbal and written using multiple media / tools
• Clear and systematic approach to time and production management
• Understanding and interpreting problems in complex technical and organizational situations
• Ability to work productively with multiple production teams and organization management
• Calm under pressure
