How You’ll Make an Impact

The Product Specialist has complete responsibility within the legacy products, working as a PDM, CSM and RPE. Requires responding to daily technical issues from Sales, Marketing, Field Service, Manufacturing, Services and clients. Will also develop item pricing as well as prepare proposals for new and re-manufactured compressors, upgrades, rerates, overhauls and major parts or components. Completes work instructions for the shop, attends client meetings, assists in the scheduling of work required to complete contracts and assists in the development of standards, specifications, bills of material and drawings.

The specific responsibilities assigned to the position (but not limited to) are:

  • Become familiar with existing standards, processes and procedures
  • Provide technical support to internal and external clients, developing relationships at all levels
  • Review client specifications and contract requirements to evaluate scopes for new equipment, repairs, upgrades and major components
  • Develop proposals and work with the client facing team to close these opportunities
  • Plan, complete and close projects ensuring quality, cost and timely delivery
  • Provide disposition on acceptability of non-conforming materials or standards
  • Revise bills of material and drawings
  • Develop new repair standards
  • Collaborate with factory engineering fields as vital

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field preferred
  • Travel – Up to 20%
  • 5 or more years of experience working with rotating equipment, specifically screw compressors in a relevant role
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
