We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at our new Transformer Repair Center in Linz. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services to support our operations. You will also collaborate with internal collaborators to understand their needs, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure the best possible terms.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will implement commodity strategies to secure a reliable and efficient supply of materials and provide supplier information, ensuring project success.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to conduct detailed supplier evaluations and maintain strong supplier management processes.
  • Prepare and conduct negotiations to achieve the highest feasible savings, directly contributing to the financial health of the business.
  • Generate, document, and implement savings initiatives, making results transparent and accessible to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with globally defined methods and processes, improving overall efficiency and effectiveness in operations.


What You Bring

  • You have successfully completed a technical or economic education.
  • A proven experience of 5 years in a similar position is required, with experience in the same industry considered a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management will enable you to develop effective partnerships.
  • Proficiency in both German and English is essential for daily communications, ensuring flawless collaboration.
  • You are a standout colleague with a keen affinity for numbers and an open, strategic, and agile mentality.

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of € 60.785,90 gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
