A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced an Experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our Packaging R&D team. This role involves developing mechanical systems and associated bills of material, for gas turbine packages in both power generation and oil & gas applications. Successful candidate brings their experience with decarbonization activities, as a function of the global energy transformation and impact on gas turbine products.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Leading assigned package development programs, activities and standards for AGT products, ensuring consistency in design and functionality while meeting the product requirements for the business.
- You create Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines, and develop solutions to meet the business requirements, due to Customer Specifications, Regional/Statutory Requirements for the Installation location, and any other Special Application Requirements
- Report project progress, identify potential risks, and mitigation strategies in close collaboration with AGT teams and support departments to ensure successful task delivery.
- Understand budget management for assigned development projects, focusing on task estimation and cost control.
- Collaborate with all Distributed product lines to find opportunities for synergy, cost savings, and operational efficiency across multiple product offerings. with procurement and supply chain support.
What You Bring
- Master or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering-Related Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6+ years of experience with design and specification of electrical and/or mechanical systems for aeroderivative Gas Turbines and Packages in compression and power generation applications including key functional requirements and dependencies related to a complete Package.
- Product Development Process experience for Siemens Energy AGT products and/or the former Rolls-Royce Energy gas turbine products a major plus.
- Associated experience and knowledge of ERP systems, Finance and Project Management tools
- Strong relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to internal and external communications.
- U.S. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
