In this role as MGT Project Manager the selected candidate works with internal groups and external customers to plan and execute complex field service outages!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Safety: Set the example for the team and hold them accountable to safety standards, ensuring safety always as a top priority; Protect the Deck and live Zero Harm! Mentor and train younger engineers.
- Quality: Ensure that the team understands and accepts the plan, and does not deviate from the plan without proper review; Document key findings to prevent them from reoccurring.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by understanding the customer's expectations and requirements and strive to exceed them. Ensure the team is focused on delivering customer satisfaction at all times while continuing to build the relationship. Communicate with transparency.
- Schedule: Insulate your team from schedule pressure by setting the team up for success before the work starts. Ensure that the team has sufficient resources and time to complete their tasks to the required standard. Establish and maintain chain of command on the project sites.
- Organization: Stay organized by managing the: contract, schedule, vendors, project costs, accurately tracking and documenting delays, extra work, repair recommendations, and customer exceptions, and submitting a daily status report (DSR) daily. Be responsible for completing event readiness & post-outage deliverables.
- Operational support of all MGT FS and Fleet needs. Implementation of outage lessons learned through process improvements. TMS outage planning process, assist LTP in planning, maintain outage calendar, customer meeting support as necessary.
What You Bring
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED that can be verified; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience as Field Service Engineer, Project Manager or Technical Service Engineer; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level position
- Previous site outage management experience in the Power Generation or Oil and Gas Industries is preferred (MGT experience is also preferred)
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents and use of MS project to create and maintain critical path schedules
- Ability to manage large groups of people ~10 – 100 and multiple tasks at the same time
- This position requires travel up to 70% of year
