IT Zscaler Network Engineer

Location: Mexico, Queretaro, CDMX or Guanajuato

Department: Siemens Energy Information Technology

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in business informatics, business administration, or equal, ideally with experience in service management
  • 3-5 years of total working experience covering:
    • Networking and Server Engineering
    • Packet based networks, routing, redundancy and transport protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF and VXLAN) on several network vendors
    • Zscaler
    • Equinix Fabric or similar service
    • Cloud Connectivity and Networking
    • SD-WAN, SD-LAN
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills within a global environment
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations; Good organizational skills
  • Clear, logical, and effective verbal/written communication skills
  • Organized, ability to work independent and within a team to achieve given objectives
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal English communication skills

Your responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and resolution of network issues
  • Drive incident root cause analysis, document, follow up and track remedial / preventive actions
  • Be a part of service improvement initiatives and contribute through implementation of new ideas
  • Regular network maintenance and upgrades
  • Provide world-class customer experience with every interaction
  • Engage and empathize with customers to support and resolve technical issues through completion
  • Develop, foster and maintain highly effective customer interaction
  • Accurately document all work performed through ticketing system including details and outcomes
  • Ensure accurate and timely resolution of all assigned issues
  • Share your knowledge with teammates and guide them in the resolution of complex technical problems
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the customer experience
  • Stay up to date with technological changes in the industry with internal and external training
