A Snapshot of Your Day

For a new project a customer is asking our sales colleagues to provide a mathematical model. You are clarifying the requirements. Based on the concept you have defined in the first weeks of your new job you decide which model is appropriate and what is the leanest ways to get there. You will manage this with our internal and external partners.
These mathematical models will allow us to expand our business in hybrid control projects and ensure grid-compliant operation of the new power plant, contributing to decarbonization.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Specification of Hybrid Plant and Microgrid control models for power system and control system study
  • Provision of control model input and expertise to internal and external simulation partners
  • Definition and execution of the testing strategy of the control system on HiL and reiteration of control simulations with modelling teams
  • Development and support of customer offerings including value proposition, cost calculation and support of Bid Management in related proposals
  • Specification of necessary studies and simulations that are required for hybrid power plant control tuning and parametrization
  • Provision technical expertise on control system tuning for OHC Hybrid Plant / Microgrid controller and Asset Group controllers
What You Bring
  • Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering focusing on Control Systems and/or Power Systems
  • Several years of relevant experience in the field, specifically in Power Plant Controllers
  • Deep knowledge and demonstrated experience in Power Plant Controllers
  • Knowledge and experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PowerFactory, and PSCAD tools
  • Knowledge and experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation environments
  • Fluency in both English and German; strong networking skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
