A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be responsible for aligning HR and business objectives for Global Mobility Management (GMM) with country HR, management, vendors, and further internal as well as external stakeholders in both the designated region(s) and assigned global business unit(s). The position formulates partnerships across the Global Mobility function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. You will maintain an effective level of regional and business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, culture, and competition.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Engaging with all countries in your region and their respective HR function (even if no dedicated GMM resource is on-site), serving as their strategic expert for all matters related to Global Mobility Management as well as helping this community and the regional management to flourish, grow together, and exchange knowledge
  • Responsibility for supporting the assignment processes in assigned countries & aligning with local stakeholders, ensuring compliance with local rules and regulations as well as educating the global community on these
  • Consulting on new country set up for countries in which Siemens Energy has not had recent assignment activity, working closely with colleagues within and outside of HR as well as external advisors to ensure a compliant in-country set-up which allows for project execution in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Ensuring well-oiled operations and customer centric handling of Siemens Energy global mobility needs in cooperation with the assignment case managers to the designated region(s) as well as assigned global business unit(s). Knowing the needs of your assigned region and partnering with our global community to translate these into a smooth assignment experience for our assignees
  • Transforming the organization to fulfil customer needs in the most efficient way as well as driving (cross-) regional projects and initiatives to bring the new global vertical setup of GMM to life.
  • Responsibility for end-to-end process description of all Global Mobility tasks, ensuring lean administration among vendors, local and global GM team as well as providing global mobility related change & project management support in the assigned region(s) and business unit(s)
  • Keeping up to date with any country’s specific global mobility rules and regulations to ensure knowledge sharing with the involved cross functional stakeholders as well as identifying trends and patterns (including the external market) to suggest continuous improvement initiatives related to global or local processes

What You Bring 

  • University degree in business administration, finance, HR, or another related education
  • Longstanding experience working within global mobility in an energy or EPC industry operating environment
  • HR experience from some of the assigned countries as well as international work experience is highly valued
  • Exceptional understanding of the end-to-end global mobility management process and interdependencies as well as up-to-date knowledge of global mobility best practices and tools
  • Expertise in IT systems such as PowerPoint, Excel, and HR software. Ability to multitask as well as learning combined with an analytical approach to problem solving, a “can do” attitude, and team player mentality
  • Excellent communication skills in English and preferably Arabic, that enable you to interact seamlessly with colleagues as well internal and external stakeholders
