About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our Bid Strategy team and take a key role in driving the success of our Gas Services sales efforts, primarily focusing on the GS NA SC business, with potential for additional responsibilities in other regions as needed. In this dynamic and fast-paced position, you will apply innovative marketing strategies and competitor intelligence to improve our bids, directly impacting our sales targets. The role entails performing critical analysis, working collaboratively across functions, and supporting both immediate bid success and our long-term sales strategy. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on special projects and initiatives, further broadening your impact within your assigned region and on a global scale!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support LoA process by managing and analyzing historical pricing data, enabling strategic price adjustments to optimize sales team confidence in pricing decisions.
- Facilitate uniformity and strategic insight across NA sub-regions with consistent LoA support and comprehensive analysis of market level pricing, competitor moves, and market headwinds/tailwinds.
- Hold regular intelligence debriefs with NA sales teams (and others globally) to review sales insights, market trends, OEM competitor actions, and competitive intelligence to improve market understanding.
- Develop Market Level Pricing and Target Pricing for a variety of service solutions, including price build-up with project specific scope and market comparisons.
- Strive for alignment across regions, countries, and New Unit to ensure we are applying standard processes across SE GS C service business.
- Conduct Win-Loss analyses of relevant bids to gain lessons learned thru the sales process and build Fighting Guides for specific products.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- 6+ years of related experience in a sales and marketing role; experience in LTP and/or Open Market business. Solid technical understanding of GT and CCPP. Experience in SE GS NA SC (or LA) in a sales/marketing function is a plus.
- You bring an open, diplomatic, and collaborative attitude, and enjoy encouraging positive relationships.
- Proven negotiations experience and techniques: Outspoken, collaborative, creative, organized, with a can-do approach.
- Proficiency in SalesForce, Tableau (or Power BI), and Microsoft office. Proficiency in Fleet Intelligence, SAP, GEC, GPC, IIR preferred. Skills in business model development is a plus!
- Open and direct communication in English is required, fluency in German and/or Spanish is a plus.
