Our global engineering / RnD / procurement / service / sales teams are searching for multiple ambitious professionals who are willing to take on the challenge to develop new battery storage applications and establish them successfully in the market.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • As Technical Specification Engineer you are responsible for defining the service requirements, specifications, and test procedures for the procurement of the battery energy system components.
  • As an Lithion-ion industry expert, you will conduct industry research identifying and comparing different battery technologies, characteristics, and attributes
  • As an expert in battery energy storage (battery degradation, electrochemical performance, and behavior modelling and prediction), you will be responsible for developing the long term performance model of our energy storage solutions.
  • As a Service Engineer, with a strong customer focus, you will be developing performance guarantee concepts around the service operation and reliability of the systems
  • As an Offer Engineer you are supporting complex tenders with a focus on battery systems/PCS and integration of large-scale storage solution. 
  • As a Solution Engineer you will support layouts, designs and integration of the individual components of a battery storage system. 
  • As a RnD Engineer, you are developing OPEX and CAPEX-optimized solutions without compromising quality
  • As design engineer you are responsible for implementing and guidance of basic & detail engineering, operation and maintenance activities
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, electrochemistry, materials science, mathematics, chemistry, chemical engineering, business administrations or a similar field
  • At least 5 years of experience in energy systems and preferably with battery technology for storage applications (battery, LV-inverter, transformer, or controls), battery systems, modules and subcomponents or power conversion systems (PCS) or controls (EMS, )
  • Experience in battery sourcing including leading the technical sourcing process and development
  • Experience working with or for battery cell manufacturers and the battery industry
  • Knowledge of pricing models and industry trends, industry regulations, and best practices
  • Experience in battery degradation, life cycle behavior, Lithium-Ion cell degradation factors and failure modes. 
  • Working experience modeling, simulation, and scaling of cells, modules, and overall energy storage systems
  • Understanding of service offerings such as capacity guarantees, reliability and availability
  • Basic know-how about standards, regulations, grid codes, and market requirements 
  • Fluent in English with German skills a plus
