A Snapshot of Your Day
A Gas Turbine Systems Engineer (Senior) apply the latest systems and technologies in relation to the gas turbine package auxiliary equipment and skid (Lube Oil Console, Fuel Systems, Gas Seal System, Water wash System etc) to improve the performance and reliability of our products.
You will be responsible to ensure that all packaged equipment designs meet the Company design rules and current practices.
The candidate will oversee and review the work of other team members, providing guidance and instruction as needed with the ability to mentor and develop junior designers and lead complex tasks
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide a technical work with internal departments, regional divisions, suppliers, and customers, ensuring that the project upgrades are driven within allocated budgets and timescales.
- Standardizing and documenting solutions which can be applied in a consistent manner. Deliver the project activities on time with quality.
- Propose and implement package upgrades aimed at preventing future issues, enhancing the overall product lifecycle. Address and resolve issues in the field by analysing fault reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Build and maintain Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using AutoCAD software. Technical recommendations into sales tenders to support future upgrades.
- Generate purchase specifications for equipment and components, including part creation and lifecycle management within Siemens PLM.
- Produce engineering documents such as design calculations, technical reports, risk assessments, performance graphs, and datasheets as the task demands.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, accredited by the Engineering Council is required. Course with Gas Turbines/Turbomachines background is preferable
- Experience: 10-12 years of proven experience in a Fluid Systems or equivalent role within an associated or similar industry. Preferred candidates will have experience with Gas/Steam Turbine and/or Gas Compression auxiliary packaged systems.
- Experience with specifying fluid system components and technologies, such as pumps, valves, piping, control gear, actuators, and instrumentation, with ability to evaluate parts and processes for cost, efficiency, and reliability improvements.
- Good knowledge and understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations applicable to fluid systems design and safety in relation to auxiliary packaged systems. (e.g. ISO21789, SIL, API, PED, ATEX).
- Knowledge of COMOS would be effective.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferable.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
