Siemens Energy is seeking an energetic individual to support the Global Service Operations Fleet Management (FM) team to help drive forecasting and planning activities in support of our internal and external customers. This is an extremely dynamic role that enables you to regularly work with different organizational units with a focus on forecasting, inventory, and capacity planning. While highly interactive, this role also provides autonomy and growth opportunities in a multitude of areas to cultivate a variety of work experiences.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with internal business partners to collect and analyze demand data for global forecast generation supporting gas turbine, steam turbine and generator requests.
  • Work closely with FM team members and business partners to achieve quality focused business goals and drive organizational improvements.
  • Ensure maintenance and enhancements of policies, processes, and procedures related to global forecasting, inventory and capacity planning activities.
  • Lead and drive parts planning, budgeting, and financial activities through the monthly, quarterly, and long-term forecasting and yearly inventory budgeting processes.
  • Support data analysis requests for reporting and scenario planning activities related to global inventory, forecasting and capacity planning efforts.
  • Lead capacity planning activities for internal and external factories and suppliers with focus on allocating projected total part demand needs based on available capacities and the capabilities of the global supply base.
  • Support the SAP S&OP process with activities related to violet book updates, data analysis, review and cleansing, maintaining data structures and ensuring governance steps are being followed.
  • Enhance US dashboard data quality for the existing workflows for inventory and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with and support Data Scientist with SAP data downloads from Snowflake.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.), preferably with an Engineering focus, Business or related field with 8+ years proven industry experience.
  • Strong SAP background required. Strong knowledge of Alteryx and Tableau required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • SFDC (Salesforce.com) experience preferred. Previous forecasting experience preferred. Technical knowledge of GT, ST, and or Gen components preferred.
  • Excellent analytical approach with the ability to achieve results! Solid communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Robust knowledge and experience with multiple problem-solving and process improvement methodologies.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
