A Snapshot of Your Day

·   In this position, you are going to work in close collaboration with the production team, understanding details of the manufacturing process to identify main bottlenecks through Value Stream mapping, Time studies and other techniques to drive continuous improvement projects/initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Analyze production process to understand sources of waste, and develop solutions based on lean principles to eliminate non-value added operations
  • Apply lean tools and develop activities including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Time studies, TPM, Cell Layout and Line Balancing, Kanban systems and Kaizen events, as well as providing support in developing and maintaining metrics and performance indicators.
  • Establish and support internal project teams in the identification, design, and delivery of process improvement initiatives e.g. the development and facilitation of workshops pertaining to continuous improvement.

What You Bring 

  • University degree or Technologist Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, exhibiting a strong sense of urgency.
  • Experience with project management tools/ software and Lean/Six Sigma certification is an asset
  • Experience in time studies and process evaluation is desired
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Knowledge/ familiarity with SAP is a definite asset
  • Nice to have previous experience with Tableau, Alteryx and/or Power BI
  • The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable to work in manufacturing environment, be creative and have initiative to implement new ideas/projects
