Your profile
  • Master‘s degree in electrical engineering, physics, energy, or a similar field is preferred
  • Experience in battery technology for storage application
  • Detailed know how about standards, regulations
  • 3-5 years experience in field of battery systems / modules / sub components, HW design
  • 3-5 years of engineering / supplier qualification / development experience
  • Knowledge in batteries and battery systems with focus on Lithium technology
  • Overview of actual key players in the field of batteries is preferred
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Startup experience a plus
Your responsibilities
  • Expert for battery systems with focus on modules and pack 
  • Electrical, mechanical and thermal design and modeling 
  • Benchmarking, Market Comparison and Market overview
  • Definition of requirements, specifications and test procedures and supplier analysis
  • Optimize module and pack design, analyze specifications and derive mechanical and electrical improvements 
  • Work across SE and keep various needs and requirements in mind Documentation 
  • Ownership of mechanical and electrical design / component requirements 
  • Ownership of legislative requirements, standards and norms

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Electrical engineering design and construction of static frequency converters (SFC)
  • Static excitation equipment (SEE) with power transformers for the power plant sector and renewable energies
  • Benchmarking, market comparison and market overview for electrical components (SEE/ SFC)
  • Definition of requirements, specifications and test procedures 
  • Support in the development of SEE/ SFC packages for large turbine sets
  • Analysis of specifications and electrical improvements 
  • Responsibility for electrical design/component requirements 
  • Responsibility for regulatory requirements, standards and norms

What You Bring
  • Several years of experience with static frequency converters for gas turbine start-up and excitation systems with automatic voltage regulators (AVR). 
  • Knowledge with combined cycle and open cycle power plants and synchronous machines an advantage
  • Experience in engineering/ development and working in different voltage levels
  • Detailed knowledge of control systems, standards and regulations
  • Fluent knowledge of the English and German language
  • Creativity, ability to work in a team and an honest and open personality
