Wire person

A Snapshot of Your Day: 

As a Wire person, your day will be filled with hands-on tasks and technical challenges. You will start by reviewing electrical blueprints and schematics to understand the wiring requirements for the day. Your responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. You will work with various tools and equipment to run wires, connect circuits, and ensure all installations align with safety standards and regulations.

Throughout the day, you will build electrical control cabinets to spec, perform routine inspections, and collaborate with other electricians and construction professionals to complete projects on time. Your role will also involve documenting your work and ensuring all electrical systems are functioning correctly and safely.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience and Skills: Proven experience as a Wire person or in a similar role is essential. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics is required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, including wire strippers, multimeters, and conduit benders, is crucial.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to wiring and installations will ensure accuracy and safety in all your work.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong resolving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently will be valuable in maintaining system reliability.
  • Physical Stamina: The role involves physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting, so physical fitness and stamina are important.
