  • Professional Management skills set including a good understanding of all aspects of financial reporting and accountability
  • Thorough understanding of Continuous improvement
  • Proven all round professional with a proven track record as a TPM, Project Engineer / Manager / Commissioning Engineer as a minimum
  • Must possess and have a thorough understanding of commercial and operational processes
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal presentation skills
  • Mentor / Coach of Continuous Improvement Techniques and be able to demonstrate a “hands on” approach, delivering substantial and sustainable added value.
  • Planning and Budgeting – Commissioning and related activities

  • Professional management experience with typically 10 years’ experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry
  • Installation Field related engineering, technical & commissioning experience beneficial
  • Competent with resource planning, scheduling tools and processes.
  • A HNC or Degree in Electrical & Electronic engineering preferred

Your responsibilities
  • To ensure all products and solutions supplied by the Siemens Energy Transmission Business Units are installed and operate to the design and project specifications, through effective Commissioning Procedures executed by commissioning and technical representatives both on customer and Siemens Sites.
  • To manage and be responsible for a technically competent and diverse team of Commissioning & Technician personnel, supporting all areas of the Siemens Energy Transmission Business.
  • To plan and manage the Commissioning & Technicians team including all associated third party providers ensuring sufficient resource is available to meet the needs of the business.
  • To be responsible for the provision and timely allocation of Commissioning and technician related resources, including route to third party providers in coordination with the resource planning team.
  • To be actively promote, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the commissioning activities and develop commissioning processes and procedures to improve the business area performance and profitability.
  • To coordinate, interface and liaise with Project Managers, Site Management and Engineering leads as required to ensure Safe Systems of Work are deployed to ensure wellbeing and the promotion of safety awareness in support of Zero Harm.
  • To be responsible and lead the panel in the assessment and appointment of Nominated Duty Holders.
  • To be responsible, lead and maintain safety critical procedures and management of low voltage supplies. To ensure sufficient competent and trained personnel is available to support projects needs as required.
