We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, detail-conscious Commercial Project Manager to join the Installation and Commissioning Finance and Commercial support team based in either Tyne and Wear or Manchester. The role will support the site teams across the UK in managing their budgets and forecasting the out turn costs upon a monthly basis. In this diverse and challenging role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of all Finance and Commercial data at site relating to Installation and Commissioning during the project life cycle. The role would a process driven CIMA qualified individual looking for Commercial experience in ensuring consistent quality of data is provided business. Regular travel to sites in the UK will be expected.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Managing the Finance and Commercial aspects of the Installation and Commissioning Projects
  • Supporting the Site managers in their preparation of monthly forecasts and reporting to the business
  • Ensuring accuracy of bookings at the month end and following up to conclusion on all queries
  • Driving and assisting the Site Managers during the project delivery phase
  • Management responsibility for any local admin required as part of the project.
  • Ensure all risks are reported within the period received and costed/escalated appropriately.
  • Project Control in both an advisory capacity and ensuring projects under own area of control are kept up to date and monitored throughout the delivery phase
  • Site visits required as and when necessary, around the United Kingdom
  • Completing rate reviews upon a regular basis to ensure internal and external information is reported timely and correctly, correcting errors within the period
  • Playing an active role in improving all processes both within and outside own area of concern
  • Governance of all Finance and Commercial Information passing through the Installation and Commissioning project area
  • Holding regular meetings with site staff on an individual basis
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with the Resource function
  • Controlling the Procurement process for all site-based orders.
  • Ensuring business success and satisfaction of the customer – internal and external.
  • Ensuring professional stakeholder management.
  • Ensuring timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.
  • Abide by all business compliance requirements in line with Company Policy and the Business Management System, for example Business Conduct Guidelines, Confidential Information, and Information Security.

What You Bring 

  • Experience within a Finance and Commercial Function within a complex business
  • Project knowledge will be beneficial
  • Fully conversant with SAP
  • Fully conversant in understanding of each function and how Finance can add value
  • Experience of purchasing procedures and governance around their use
  • Awareness of Commercial and Contractual issues.
  • High IT Literacy with good PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills. Able to communicate both with peers and Senior Management
  • Formal qualifications to a minimum of part - CIMA qualified, working towards full qualification
  • Good Communicator and Pro-active demeanour.
  • Experience of working as part of a large Project Delivery Team.
