Join our Business Administration Apprenticeship Programme based in Newcastle, where you will gain a wide range of hands-on experience.

The Gas Services business has an enviable engineering heritage which extends back over 130 years.  Today at the Siemens Energy CAP Works site in Newcastle, we repair, service and upgrade Siemens gas and steam turbines and generators.  As part of the Net Zero challenge, we are an integral part of the Energy Transition.  Our business in expanding into new technologies such as Hydrogen and Marine.    

A Snapshot of Your Day

Part of being an apprentice at Siemens Energy means you get to work on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey. As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will undertake a variety of business support admin-based tasks in a varied role in which you will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.  Your role will include:
  • Administrative duties within various departments.
  • Organise internal and external training courses.
  • Arrange business travel including hire cars.
  • Assist with maintenance of various systems.
  • Order equipment and stationery.
  • Export data and create reports using Excel.
  • Support various projects including improvements.
  • Create presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Organise and attend meetings and events.

  • Work towards completion of a Level 3 business administration apprenticeship (including functional skills in Maths and English where needed) with structured support from Siemens Energy and the learning provider.

What You Bring  

We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate the following characteristics:
  • Confident with both written and verbal communication
  • Great organisational skills
  • Good ICT skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and enthusiastic
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Hard working and flexible approach to work
You will be on track to achieve GCSE A*-D / (9-3) or equivalent in Maths and English
