A Snapshot of Your Day

Are you an expert in the energy industry looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Bid and Project Manager!

As a Bid and Project Manager in our Grid Consulting business, the day begins with a thorough review of project updates to stay informed on the latest developments and client communications. This is followed by a morning briefing with the international project team to discuss the status of ongoing projects, address any technical challenges, and prioritize tasks for the day.

A significant part of the morning may also involve direct communication with clients, particularly discussing new project proposals and clarifying their requirements and expectations. This ensures that all project deliverables are aligned with client needs and adhere to the highest standards.

Post-lunch, the focus shifts to coordinating and refining proposals for upcoming projects. This involves collaborating closely with the global team of expert consultants to ensure that both the technical and financial aspects of the bid are well-crafted and competitive. Concurrently, overseeing critical power system studies is essential, ensuring that all analyses are conducted accurately and efficiently.

Strategic planning sessions with senior management may also be part of the day, focusing on long-term project strategies, resource planning, and potential process improvements. These discussions are vital for aligning project goals with broader company objectives and market opportunities.

The day concludes with a final review of the day’s achievements and preparation for the next day’s activities. This includes setting up tasks, updating the team and clients on progress, and ensuring that all project components are on track for success.

Overall, the role of a Bid and Project Manager is dynamic and multifaceted, requiring a balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication to successfully lead large power system consulting projects and coordinate the writing of offers.
