About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
The Auxiliary Operator perform all duties related to the monitoring, small maintenance, housekeeping, and operation of the plant auxiliary systems as water treatment plant, air compressors, cooling towers, boilers, chemical dosing and water steam cycle. He also runs the chemical analysis routines, preventive inspections, works with the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system), lock-out-tag-out tasks and support on confined spaces supervision.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform the day-to-day field operation of two 1x1 combined cycle power plant, and complete the tasks as directed by the Control Room Operator or assigned by the Operation Manager.
- Comply with the safety regulations and plant procedures as LOTO, confined spaces, safety permit work, work at heights, etc.
- Monitor the Plant for safe operation. Report unsafe conditions or work practices to the Control Room Operator or Operations Manager.
- Report defective equipment and failures in the CMMS.
- Perform the routine inspections and record the readings and checklists correctly.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent, plus two years of college or vocational training in mechanical technology, or equivalent experience preferred.
- One to five (5) years’ experience in a combination of related power plant mechanical maintenance, planning, and coordination or other related work experience or related military training preferred.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
