A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Bid Manager (f/m/d) for Single-Shaft Compressors you are responsible for the overall coordination and execution of bid activities for single-shaft compressors as requested for customer projects. It is the Bid Manager´s responsibility to ensure the most competitive compressor design to be applied, all bid documents to be technically correct, delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards required. Therefore, this role reflects a high level of self-organization and project management, but also asks for profound knowledge about compressor technology and compressor products to find the most suitable product for our customer´s needs.
In close collaboration with Sales, a Bid Manager is one major interfaces to our customers to enable technical alignment and consultancy, which relates to the traditional Oil and Gas Business as well as compression solutions for the emerging area of decarbonization.
A global team in Bid Management completes this exciting area of profession.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Work closely with the sales team to develop proposals that meet the needs of our customers
- Be responsible for the compressor design to be developed during the bid process.
- Coordinate the Siemens Energy Bid Team in a leading function on a project specific base.
- Ensure proposals to be delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards in alignment with Siemens Energy’s policies and procedures
- Demonstrate global cultural sensitivity and international collaboration while working with a diverse team
What You Bring
- Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Ambition for a multi-disciplinary task, including technical and project management skills, coordinating various technical disciplines
- A high level of self-management and target-orientation to manage bid activities and related timelines
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the energy industry is preferred
- Global cultural sensitivity while working with a diverse, global team is a boundary condition to be met
