A Snapshot of Your Day 

In the role you will be engaged in all, or select industries within Oil, Gas, Chemical, Process Industries and Maritime. You will be very visible to new and to select existing customers, as well as with all relevant internal support and management functions. You will be leading, discovering, developing, overseeing development, presenting and winning life cycle solution business. You will act as account manager for selected customers and/or sites representing current and future portfolio of for Electrification, Automation and Digitalization (EAD).

You will be on the road, engaging with customers, identifying customer needs and documenting your efforts using CRM and Account Management tools. You will be involved in the full sales cycle of your opportunities and will be presenting opportunities and solutions at a moderate technical and commercial level internally and externally.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Contribute to growing revenue, growing sales funnel and improving customer experiences in USA and Canada.
  • Build, position, and expand demand growth of EAD Brownfield/Aftermarket Projects & Life Cycle Solutions and ultimately win contracts across various accounts and/or a geographical area
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations, nursing a preferred provider status.
  • Closely collaborate with other adjacent departments including proposal, contract/legal, Commercial, finance, operations and engineering.
  • Apply CRM and account planning tools to keep close track of accounts, opportunities, and activities, ensuring seamless operations, transparency and reliable forecasting.
  • Help customers identify and appreciate relevant EAD portfolio offerings that can improve operational efficiencies, solve their technical system challenges and in general help them move toward achieving their goals.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation by achieving growth targets and goals, applying your winning and team mentality and not being satisfied with the status quo.
  • Monitor market activity and trends, including competitive analysis, providing valuable feedback to the proposal team in line with Siemens Energy guidelines.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field here under one of our core fields of expertise is required (Electrical, Automation, Chemical, Process, Petroleum or Marine Engineering)
  • 4+ years’ experience in an Energy or Industrial customer facing sales role; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level position.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills externally and internally. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of working in multi-functional teams and engaging with all levels of management.
  • Proven track record in driving complex sales pursuits in North America
  • Willingness to travel regionally (U.S and Canada) up to 35% of the time. International travel is rare but possible.
  • Strategic and tactical vision, capable of inspiring change with ambitious and high-performing objectives.
