A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy operates a comprehensive Global HR Platform with a mix of standard and custom-built applications. We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to take end-to-end responsibility for a specific functional area (e.g., Compensation & Benefits, Org Management, or Contracts).
You will operate at the intersection of strategy, business, and technology. Working in close alignment with the Global Platform Owner, you will act as a key partner for the HR Centers of Competence (CoCs), consulting them on processes and feasibility, before translating their needs into clear technical requirements for the Development Team.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Module Ownership & Alignment: You own the roadmap for your assigned module(s). You ensure your specific features align with the overall architectural strategy set by the Global Platform Owner
  • Consulting the CoCs (Centers of Competence): You act as a technical advisor (f/m/d) to the HR experts. You don't just "take orders"; you consult the CoCs on how to map their business requirements into a scalable, generic software logic. You challenge complexity and advocate for standard solutions
  • Generic & Modular Thinking: You ensure that requirements from the CoCs are not built as "one-off" solutions. You design reusable components that serve the global organization, keeping the custom landscape maintainable and efficient
  • Translation to Development: You are the link to the engine room. You translate complex business concepts from the CoCs into precise User Stories, Epics, and technical specifications that the Development Team can implement without ambiguity
  • Professionalization & Lifecycle: You drive the "Evolution" of your area. You manage the backlog, prioritize features based on business value, and ensure the software remains compliant and robust
  • Stakeholder Management: You manage the expectations of diverse stakeholders, balancing the functional wishes of the CoCs with the technical realities and capacity of the Dev Team
What You Bring
  • Professional Background: A degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields, with a strong professional background in Software Engineering or Solution Architecture.
  • The "Architect" Mindset: You have experience in professionalizing homegrown software. You understand how to build generic, reusable logic rather than hard-coding business exceptions.
  • Consulting Experience: You are comfortable working with non-technical business experts (CoCs). You can explain technical constraints clearly and guide them toward the best solution.
  • Collaboration Skills: You have experience working in a triangular setup: aligning with a Product/Platform Owner, serving Business Stakeholders, and steering a Development Team.
  • Domain Knowledge: Experience with HR processes (Compensation, Org Mgmt, etc.) is a plus, but your ability to structure complex logic is the priority.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English

About the Team

You will be working within the Human Resources function – People Systems and Services, a truly global team with varied strengths of specialists with an open approach, responsible for guaranteeing operational performance and budget alignment of HR Systems & Services, ensuring, and maintaining fit-for-purpose HR systems and processes, safeguarding end-to-end delivery while promoting Siemens Energy digital transformation. You will get all the trust and empowerment to be successful.
