This position is based at the Snowtown Wind Farm, located in South Australia. The successful candidate must reside in the local area no further than 1 hours drive from the site.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Access wind turbine towers to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment during both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems including variable pitch, speed control, and converter systems.
- Conduct structural inspections to ensure the physical integrity of towers, and accurately document service activities.
- Maintain tools and spare parts inventory to support efficient repair, installation, and replacement work.
- Uphold SGRE safety policies with a strong work ethic, working independently or in small teams with excellent communication skills.
- Be flexible for on-call duties and responsive to weather variations, with a strong aptitude for electrical and mechanical systems.
What You Bring
- Hold an electrical trade qualification registered in South Australia, or a mechanical/equivalent trade qualification.
- Be experienced in preparing and using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Possess a current unrestricted Australian driver’s license and be confident working at heights.
- Be based primarily at the Hornsdale Wind Farm, with flexibility to support operations at Snowtown Wind Farm as needed.
- Ideally bring experience from the wind industry or large-scale industrial electrical projects, along with a current GWO certification.
- Demonstrate strong safety and environmental awareness, a high-performance mentality, and pride in giving to the wind energy sector.
About the Team
Collaborating with the Site Lead Snowtown Wind Farm, your duties as a Service Technician will see you play a pivotal role in undertaking scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment, to ensure ongoing high availability of the wind farm for our client.
