A Snapshot of Your Day
The senior materials planner is responsible for ensure raw material coverage for production lines, evaluating the needs, priorities and requirements of the plant. Maintain optimal inventory levels at minimum cost, as well as avoiding outstanding costs and parts obsolescence costs and customer requirements focused on business financial objectives and corporate requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Supply Chain with high capacity to identify problems (root cause, action plan and monitoring of compliance). System update of reports/incidents derived from the findings to the supplier. Planning and maintaining daily supply chain operations for critical suppliers or customers in materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management, or order fulfillment. Ensuring internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Work proactively for efficient management together with R&D, Quality area, Engineering, Manufacturing, CS, Purchasing, Logistics & Production.
- Handle problems with leadership, escalation process, cooperation and excellent communication.
- Responsible for managing item planning parameters including but not limited to lead time, MOQ, safety stock and perform continuous maintenance of planning parameters and update as needed.
- Negotiate delivery dates with suppliers.
- Maintains the time and quantity MRP parameters, aggregates cross-category requirements and acts on any MRP exceptions in accordance with the production plan.
- Daily review of coverages & identify material sourcing risks or opportunities and brings up issues to the appropriate parties (internal and external).
What You Bring
- Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering, International Trade or related
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience with materials planning & logistics having managed product portfolios in supply replenishment and purchasing planning roles.
- Proficient English
- Excel expert
- SAP advanced level.
- Knowledge: Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Demand, Purchasing, Customer Service, Forecast, S&P, Import and export process, IMMEX.
