A Snapshot of Your Day

EAD - Service Engineering are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, servicing, and commissioning advanced automation and control systems, with a focus on PLC/SCADA, S7, and PCS7 solutions. This role requires extensive hands-on experience, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact

·         Analyze and interpret study results to provide recommendations for system improvements and optimization.

  • Collaborate with project teams to verify live the model based on live testing.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate study findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Sales and Proposals team to define solutions
  • Must be proficient in planning workload and specific tasks and be able to achieve completion dates.
  • Interface directly to customers to answer questions and resolve issues.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required; a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and control system design, service, or commissioning; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a more senior level role.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA systems is required; Extensive experience with S7 or PCS7 solution design, service, or commissioning is preferred.
  • Industry knowledge in Marine, Oil & Gas, Fiber- or Process Related Industries and Applications is preferred.
  • Marine, Drilling or Offshore class regulations experience is preferred
  • Mostly domestic with some international travel to other Siemens Energy and customer facilities is required (up to approx. 30%).
