A Snapshot of Your Day

In your role as Cash & Banks Senior Analyst, you will support the Cash & Banks Function Lead with day-to-day operations, managing process activities such as proposing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting KPIs and internal controls. You will work in a team of domain experts, handling tasks like clarifying accounting issues, analyzing errors, initiating corrections, and participating in process improvement activities. You will take ownership of daily Cash & Banks transactions and month-end closing activities, ensuring they align with IFRS and local GAAP standards. Collaboration with internal and external collaborators, including regional accounting hubs and local business teams, is essential. You will actively listen to customer requests, manage complex operational issues, and share standard processes. Additionally, you will support the team in all Cash & Banks accounting issues, propose operational initiatives, and suggest improvement ideas.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Validating that bank statement imports/uploads automatic and manual are performed in a timely manner and free from error in SAP

  • Perform bank accounts reconciliations in a timely manner and that aged items are followed-up on and clarified by following-up with any reasonable party
  • Reconcile account balances between SAP and bank interface
  • Perform special booking transactions (e.g. overpayments, employees, tax authorities, wage tax etc.)
  • Create journals to internal / external Bank Account
  • Monitoring of outgoing payments (MOP Process)
  • Bank related interim account clearing
  • Recording of all cash transactions and follow-up on items to be clarified
  • Perform Interim Cash related General Ledger Account Reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve payment rejection
  • Perform month end activities related to Cash and Bank
  • Ensuring stability in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities, actively providing support to Cash & Banks” team members as a domain specialist.
  • Querying various process related sets of data from multiple sources, through applying technical expertise to extract, compile, analyze and report those effectively.
  • You assist with ad-hoc duties required by management to meet the needs of the business.
  • Working independently, proactively supporting the Cash & Banks team members providing feedback for more complex issues to the Principal Analyst / Team Lead.
  • You will be responsible for internal controls in Cash & Banks accounting, also participating in internal and external audit process by providing timely and qualitative information and resolve queries from the auditors (where applicable for the assigned countries/legal entities)
  • You implement and continuously update DTP (Desktop Procedure) documentation for existing and are involved in the creation of DTPs for new processes/variances.
  • You are actively involved in finance transformation projects, handling multiple activities through effective prioritization and time management skills. You will also support projects related to Cash & Banks”, Mergers and Acquisitions and ERP migration projects, among others.
  • Contributing and engaging in standardizing and automating our workflows and Cash & Banks processes and our cross-functional processes throughout the company.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting & Finance Operations
  • Cash & Banks” accounting and IFRS and local GAAP knowledge is preferable
  • Good MS-Office skills (especially in MS-Excel)
  • Good understanding of business processes in SAP
  • Experience in transitions and transformation projects is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel for knowledge transfer, training/workshops, if needed
  • You are open and communicative in nature as well as fluent English skills complete your profile.
