About the Role
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Should have technical background and solid knowledge of MV/LV Drives, Generators and Motors and experience with SINAMICS Drives and/or masterdrive, SIMATIC STEP7, TIA-portal, communications protocols Profibus & Profinet, and Siemens HMI systems. Possessing knowledge of Siemens Protection Relays SIPROTEC is an added advantage
- Should possess excellent problem-solving abilities to identify the root cause of problems, develop effective solutions, and implement them in a timely manner. And ability to analyze system logs, diagnose issues, and make data-driven decisions to resolve problems efficiently.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders, should be able to clearly articulate technical concepts, provide instructions, and communicate updates or resolutions effectively.
- Collaboration with other engineers, technicians, and departments, should be able to work effectively in a team, share knowledge, and contribute to the collective success of the service operation.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including scheduled maintenance, urgent repairs, and customer support. Strong time management and organizational skills are vital for prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring efficient service delivery
What You Bring
- In depth Knowledge of the VFDs and its technology including the selection of components with strong Knowhow of Siemens make VFDs is a must (S120 / G120 / Master Drives / etc) with engineering and commissioning experience.
- Very good know-how of PLC system and PCS-7 (DCS) is a must.
- To hold a Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering and to have 5-8 years of work experience in engineering and commissioning projects with experience in handling projects involving multi-cultural, multi-national / regional, diverse groups
- To possess strong technical know-how on various products and systems such as Switchgears, Motors, VFDs, PLC, HMI, PCS, etc, strong analytical / problem solving technical skills, good written and spoken communication skills for coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders. Fluent in English (Written and Oral)
- Completes broad scope of technical tasks including service, installation/commissioning, maintenance, and evaluation of customers equipment and systems among others after sales service.
- Determines priorities of tasks and actions and schedules measures accordingly.
- Supports customers remotely and onsite and provides support in case of arising issues.
- Responsible for providing training to customers on how to use and maintain the electrical equipment.
- Involve in technical design and developments for service offerings.
- Responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with potential customers.
- Willing to travel to sites and travel on short notice and able to handle flexible working hours on demand basis and ability to work under pressure onsite & offsite
- Respond promptly to incidents, investigate, and provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated
