About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Project Procurement Manager, you will be a key individual contributor that represents Supply Chain in the Project – Bidding and Execution Phase, as a sub-project manager leading the Project supply chain strategy. The successful candidate will organize all Procurement activities in a project with optimum deployment of resources while effectively liaising with procurement, commodity management, expediting, supplier quality and logistics functions. You will implement project procurement strategies, aiming to optimize project results, including availability of goods and services in quality, in time, in budget. You will ensure observance of obligatory Procurement processes and regulations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop / Implement a sourcing plan to optimize overall value proposition in accordance with sourcing strategies (pooling, utilization of master contracts and/or using ANC (Advance Negotiation Concept) incl. eAuction.
- Serve as the key liaison between project team and both operational and strategic Procurement, driving Procurement planning, costing, negotiations, enhancing the efficiency and quality of project’s execution and facilitating the resolution of any related technical or administrative problems, while ensuring compliance with regulations and processes.
- Lead / support commodity buyers with complex contractual and price negotiations to secure project targets in terms of total cost of ownership, schedule, quality while minimizing risks; Support the claims resolution for supplier caused non-conformances.
- Identify procurement risks (Procurement Risk Register), opportunities and market influences together with Commodity Management, to mitigate those risks / exploit potential; Share best practice and provide feedback on Lessons Learned of past projects to avoid NCC re-occurrence. Participate in lessons learned (win/loss) meetings.
- Oversee complete procurement operations on assigned projects with the support from buyers and expediting teams including managing procurement escalations.
- Ensure all the project procurement reports are generated and maintained throughout the project life cycle. (Procurement plan, weekly updates, Risk register, logistics plan etc)
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management with minimum 5 years of relevant experience OR bachelor’s degree (B.S) in an engineering discipline with minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of contractual purchasing terms and conditions, and its application.
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level with changing priorities.
- Leadership and project management experience preferred.
- Proficient with SAP MM modules, MS Office suite, etc. is preferred.
- Ability to travel 10-15% of the time (Domestic / International) as required.
