A Snapshot of Your Day

We’re looking for a passionate Program Manager to join the 5F Product Engineering team in Orlando and help shape the future of the SGT6‑5000F gas turbine.

In this role, your day revolves around the technical development of the 5000F platform from big‑picture concepts to real‑world execution. You’ll serve as the cognizant engineer for both new gas turbine units and Modernizations & Upgrades (M&U), owning programs that directly impact product performance, reliability, and customer value.

Think of yourself as the connector and driver coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, service, and commercial teams to turn ideas into delivered solutions. You’ll help guide development decisions, support key technical negotiations, and ensure smooth implementation across the new unit and M&U product lines.

If you enjoy seeing products through the full lifecycle, collaborating across teams, and making tangible impacts on industry‑leading technology, this role is for you.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Execute R&D programs while meeting budget, timeline, and technical objectives.
  • Lead multiple product development efforts, including:

o Partnering with Marketing to develop product strategies

o Driving risk assessments and mitigation plans

o Program and roadmap planning

o Supporting business cases and investment decisions

o Managing the end‑to‑product development process

o Coordinating procurement, PPQ, and manufacturing support

o Overseeing product implementation and logistics

  • Support products once sold by:

o Finalizing product definitions and releasing hardware

o Creating Product Change Management (PCM) documentation

o Supporting commissioning, testing, and validation planning

o Developing customer‑facing technical documentation and instructions

  • Provide technical expertise in Marketing to support proposals for new units and Modernizations & Upgrades (M&U).
  • Travel domestic and international approximately 10–15% to support customer meetings, site walk‑downs, vendor engagements, testing, and product implementation.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university. A Master’s degree is a definite plus.
  • 8+ years of hands‑on experience in a gas turbine development environment, with a strong grasp of gas turbine design, operational behavior, and performance/improvement levers. (Advanced degrees may offset some experience.)
  • Candidates with more senior level may be considered at a higher level
  • Product development and executing R&D programs, ensuring delivery within defined budget, schedule, and technical objectives.
  • Able to lead programs, communicate clearly, and build strong cross‑functional networks, backed by a solid engineering foundation.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
