A Snapshot of Your Day

At our Richland, MS location, we are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team. As part of the Operations Support group, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple departments within the factory. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and updating the timekeeping system, tracking and managing all forms of employee absenteeism (including PTO), and generating regular time and attendance reports to support operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with HR, supervisors, production, and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies and lead compliance with company policies. Your meticulousness and proactive approach will be crucial in supporting our dedication to dependable payroll operations and workforce management.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintain and update the timekeeping system to ensure accurate tracking of employee hours and leave.
  • Monitor absenteeism and run regular reports to identify and resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
  • Investigate missed punches or unauthorized absences and follow up with supervisors and employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and managers to address attendance issues and lead compliance with policies.
  • Support payroll by verifying time data accuracy and submitting payroll files on time.
  • Assist employees with timekeeping questions while maintaining confidentiality and staying current on labor laws.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional education or certification in payroll or HR would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in payroll, timekeeping, or HR administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and payroll software (e.g., Kronos, SAP, etc.).
  • Solid attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
